RESTAURANT

Eat, Drink & Relax

Eat, Drink & Relax

We are an English and Khmer run business - the sister guesthouse to Kampot's famous Rusty Keyhole restaurant, and you will find that our well stocked bar, friendly staff and good tunes make the perfect atmosphere for getting to know your fellow traveler and is a popular watering hole for Kep and Kampot dwellers too. We don't watch soaps all day, but we do have a TV, so let us know if there is a sports match or a music festival you would like to watch and we will put it to the vote!

This is a sneaky peek at our menu...

Famous Rusty Keyhole Ribs!

Famous Rusty Keyhole Ribs!

Our great value menu offers satisfying British & Asian dishes and of course our specialty barbecue ribs!

Famous in Kampot, our tasty ribs have been served in Bong Khom's secret tangy, sweet sauce for over 10 years and have been enjoyed by hungry travellers, locals and even some of the Cambodian Royal Family, so don't miss your chance to taste them in Kep when you visit.

ABOUT KEP

You can visit fruit, cashew and pepper plantations on a countryside trip, with abandoned colonial houses, pagodas, butterflies, birds & wonderful natural scenery.

Rusty Keyhole Kep is also just a few minutes from the Rabbit Island pier and sea-life center, or for more of Kep's enviable fresh air and views, the National Park offers a number of popular treks which begin just in our front yard - or you may just choose to sit back in a hammock here at Rusty Kep with a fresh mango juice and enjoy the view!

While you are here...

While you are here...

Kep is a small coastal province in southern Cambodia, known for its seafood, agriculture and stunning natural scenery.

While you are here, why not hire a bicycle and pedal along the coast and stop at the beach, then after a dip in the sea, you can head to the Crab Market to enjoy fresh blue crab, straight from the sea at one of the waterfront shacks, then barter for Kampot pepper at the stalls. The laid back provincial centre of Kep (or Krong Kaeb) has wide streets with crumbling villas that recall its former glory as a French colonial resort town, rows of shaded hammocks line the seaside coast and a small 'village' of shops, bakeries and cafes to visit.

Crab Market

Crab Market

A visit to the seaside Crab Market is an absolute must. Try bartering with the crab sellers for live crab, then take it to one of the open air kitchens where they will fry it it with fresh green peppercorns in their flaming woks.

Rusty Keyhole Kep

(Driving from Kep) From the White Horse Monument in Kep, stay on the coast road and pass the Crab Market, the Beach and the Giant Blue Crab, then you will also pass the Rabbit Island pier. We are a further 5 minutes, along the coast. After the school playground on the right, you will see our sign on the left. Turn left and we will see you soon!
